About Terri: Terri S. Macklin is one of our elder law attorneys. She handles our signing appointments, real estate matters, guardianships, conservatorships, and other probate court matters. She first became interested in Elder Law in law school when she was an employee and intern at the Sixty Plus Law Center.
She is a lifelong Michigan resident having grown up in Ludington, Michigan. She is married with two children. After graduating from Ludington High School, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Michigan University. She taught high school for one year prior to attending Thomas M. Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where she graduated Cum Laude.
After graduating from law school, she worked as a Securities Fraud Investigator for the State of Michigan in Detroit. Wanting to get back to West Michigan, she took a job as a law clerk to the Hon. James D. Gregg, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After completing her clerkship, she then took a job with the UAW-GM Legal Services Plan in Wyoming, Michigan where she worked for 25 years concentrating her practice in estate planning, guardianships, conservatorships, probate, real estate and general civil litigation. After leaving UAW-GM Legal Services Plan, she came to work for the Law Offices of David L. Carrier, P.C. where her background has been instrumental in providing quality services for our clients
