Estate Planning Check List

When you come to Carrier Law, we do the work for you by drawing up the appropriate documents to get your affairs in order.  Our team is here to make sure everything goes smoothly throughout our LifePlan™ process.  You can count on us to listen carefully and respond quickly to your concerns considering asset protection and Elder Law.

Have you had any of the following legal documentations prepared to protect yourself and the ones you love?

  • Living Trust
  • Last Will
  • Protection Trust
  • Power of Attorney

Without these documents, you can never be certain about what will happen to your estate.  It’s best to have all these documents prepared immediately to protect your family and your assets.  If you already have a trust, will, or power of attorney, we can check over everything to make sure it will protect your assets and Avoid Nursing Home Poverty.

Keep Your Estate Plan Current

Do you have living trusts or wills that haven’t been reviewed in ages (maybe prepared when your kids were younger and now they have kids of their own) and are you worried it may cause problems?  Once completed, your Estate Plan should be reviewed and kept current with life events such as birth, death, marriage or divorce of anyone included in your plan. In addition, you should review your plan if there is a significant increase or decrease in your finances or if the laws related to your Estate Plan change.

Don’t put off any aspect of planning for the future. Contact Carrier Law in Grand Rapids, MI. Families count on our knowledgeable team to thoroughly explain and analyze their plans for the future.  We’ll make sure you understand all the details and approve all our work before any documents are signed.  For more information about our services, please contact our office today.
