Molly Black started out as an Estate Planning Paralegal, working closely with Jim Henke, drafting Wills, Trusts, and other Estate Planning documents. She is now the supervisor of three Estate Planning Paralegals. While Molly still drafts and reviews documents, she now also assists in Estate Planning signing meetings. She has recently begun conducting Vision meetings, which she greatly enjoys. She has been at The Law Offices of David L. Carrier, P.C. since the Spring of 2014.
Molly is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Business. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and went on to earn a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology.
After earning her master’s degree, she worked for the law offices of Ramicure and Miller, PSC, in Lexington, Kentucky. Molly is multi-talented and served as both a paralegal and an office manager. Molly left this position in 2011 when she moved from Kentucky to Michigan. In 2012 she began working at Duba & Duba, PLLC as an estate planning paralegal.
Molly’s immense knowledge of the estate plans at The Law Offices of David L. Carrier allows her to explain the documents in detail to our clients during the signing meetings and answer any questions they may have. Molly believes that if the client leaves the signing meeting with greater knowledge and understanding of their estate plan than when they walked in, the meeting was a success. While the details are important, her goal is to help our families look beyond each individual element in the plan in order to see the larger goal that we are working to achieve – avoiding nursing home poverty.
When Molly is not in the office helping our families she enjoys playing golf, snow skiing, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
While she has many interests, her favorite pastime is jewelry making. She is currently enamored with bead looming, working with sterling silver, and most recently, precious metal clay work.
