(Warning: Typos Intact, Not Legal Advice)

How do I write in a Will that states that I want my home sold after death and the proceeds go to my children?

I am divorced and have 3 adult children. I want the house sold upon my death and the proceeds to go to my children.

Answer: “I want my home sold after my death, and the proceeds to go to my children.”

However, this may not be the best approach to planning your estate, as it’s unlikely that your home is your only asset or that your only concern is leaving it to your children. I recommend consulting with an estate planning and elder law attorney to determine what is truly in your best interest. They can help you create a comprehensive plan that considers all of your assets and goals.
