Can a co-owner of your house go on hospice without notifying you

I co own a house with another person we both live in it. I just found out he is on hospice and did not let me know. Also, I found out that the hospice nurses is now his beneficiaries on the house Is this legal

Answer: Just because you own a house with someone else does not mean you have any right to their medical information, treatment options, or anything else for that matter. People are often on deeds with strangers or others who are not privy to their medical or financial information. It’s not clear what you mean when you say that one of the hospice nurses is a beneficiary on the deed. That would have to be done through a trust or a will if they were going to be a beneficiary. If what you mean is that the person has conveyed their interest to a third party, that’s possible too. Again, no permission from you is necessary to allow that. It’s hard to see what complaint you might have. When someone owns property, that does not mean they have to tell you about their personal situation. They can sell, give, or do whatever else they want with their share of the property.
