My mom passed away and she received medicaid, me and my husband are both on her checking account as survivorship?
We closed her account and added the money to ours, and paid some of her bills. Also her mobile home that we purchased is in my name. Her vehicle quit working and she signed over title to my husband. He fixed it about 2 years after and sold it for 3000. Her life insurance policy states me her daughter as a beneficiary in 2016..I don’t know what to do. She doesn’t have any assets will this stuff go through probate
My mother has dementia. My mother took out an insurance policy and named her paid caregiver as beneficiary. Is this legal?
My mother is being cared for by a neighbor who is being paid to care for her. The caregiver has changed my mothers phone number twice and now has cut off her phone so that I can’t contact her.
Bank removed me as beneficiary. What is my recourse?
I am the beneficiary on all of my uncles accounts. On his checking account, however I activated his request for me to became the power of attorney so I can help him pay his bills. He recently passed and when I went to the bank They told me that when they added me as power of attorney they removed me as beneficiary. Now I have to go to probate! My uncle’s wishes were to have me as beneficiary so we would avoid probate ! What is my recourse? The bank also is claiming that I can’t be both a power of attorney and a beneficiary. I believe this is untrue as well. Thanks.
What about if the will is a living will not a trust but the property is a lifetime diary?
Mother is in nursing home and out of funds.
Am I entitled to any of my dad’s property if he left everything to my mom then me?
I am in my father’s will to receive his property but my mother is to receive it before me. Can she change the will and take me completely out of my dad’s will. She’s mentally unstable and has her sister running my childhood home and dad’s money. They told me that they would see to it that I never got any of my dad’s money. He saved all his life for me.
